Pete Hayes, Echo Lake drummer (1987-2012)

The 25-year-old drummer tragically lost his life on Thursday 21st June.

Pete Hayes, drummer for London-based band Echo Lake , passed away this week at the age of 25.

In a moving statement on the band’s Facebook page, which can be read in full here , guitarist Thom Hill confirms that the drummer died on Thursday morning, after being ill for some time.

No Pain in Pop are set to release the band’s debut album Wild Peace on 2nd July. Hill comments, “I know [Pete] was really excited about the album finally coming out and the possibilities that lay ahead of us. I can’t believe that he won’t be around anymore to see them out with us.”

The Line of Best Fit are encouraging fans to donate to the British Heart Foundation as a mark of respect for Pete.
