P. Morris - Turtle Lounge

Next week, Kansas-bred and LA-based producer P. Morris (formerly known as Morri$) will release his first mixtape, 'DEBUT', following on from appearances on labels people are really into, like Night Slugs/Fade to Mind and Saint Records. He calls his Midwestern amalgamation of rap, R&B and dance "Goombawave" but you could also call it mood music for empty arcades, exemplified here by the floaty and frenetic new Turtle Longue. Looser than his flip of Justin Bieber's single Hold Tight and freer than his work with Kelela on Go All Night, the track sets a tone for his solo steps. 

P. Morris will release his mixtape, 'Debut', on February 25th 2014.
