Outfit have announced two new shows where they'll be previewing new material.
Quick recap: Outfit are a superior indie band from Liverpool who make very creative, experimental art pop: it's melodic and pop-ish, but it takes influence from the post-punk, as well as current club, noise, and ambient music to create something that sounds thoroughly modern and forward-thinking. They released a very strong debut album last year named 'Performance' through Double Denim Records.
Their new album was recorded earlier this year at their studio in Lathbury House, Liverpool. A press release says that the new songs that they'll be playing at the shows would reflect the way the individual band member's lives have been changing: "these songs make for a bold and dynamic record which paints a vivid and vast emotional landscape, at once hollow and cold, yet brimming with love and hope."
The shows both happen in October at very intimate venues: the first at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington, London on October 5th, the second at Gulliver's in Manchester on October 7th. You can get tickets for the shows here and here.
