Oceaán - To Lose

Cop the ghostly first song to appear from the Manchester producer/singer's debut EP.

Manchester musician Oceaán first appeared last July with Neéd U, a song that demonstrated a neat talent for that strain of vocal, R&B-inclined synth pop that a lot of people seem to be nailing right now. He's now shaping up a debut EP proper that is named after himself (he's also given us a press shot of him wearing a nice shirt), and he's leading it with a song called To Lose, a proper head-nodder that carries Oceaán's ghost vocal over smoky organ pads. Fans of artists like SOHN needn't look much further (in fact, Oceaán's own life has slight echoes of SOHN's. Both have spent years moving around Europe and the UK – the former is a Manchester-via-Brussels artist, the latter Vienna-via-London).

Chess Club release the Oceaán EP on March 31st 2014.
