Novelist announces departure from The Square

London’s Rudeboy Novelist has announced that he has left his crew The Square.

The rising 18-year-old tweeted the news this morning (September 1st), and will concentrate on his own personal endeavours rather than working with the collective that he founded at age 16.

‘I’ve left TheSquare. Shifty things have been happening for a while & I'm 18 carrying a lot of people’s careers alone. Time to be myself,” Novelist said.

During his time as part of the collective, Novelist released and was featured on 2014’s ‘The Formula’ and ‘Lewisham McDeez’ from earlier in 2015. Following his collaboration with Mumdance ‘1 Sec’, Novelist is expected to release his debut album on XL Recordings soon.
