Natasha Kmeto - Contranym

Following on from her track Dirty Mind Melt earlier this month is Contranym by Natasha Kmeto. Contranym opens with a hybrid of live drums and 808 samples acting as a bed to Kmeto’s voice singing contradictory lyrics about love and hate, all looped to high heaven. When it kicks into action properly it resembles a reined-in Machinedrum instrumental, one that threatens to explode around the halfway mark. It never quite goes the whole hog though, but that’s probably the point. Props to Pigeons and Planes for premiering the track.
