More details on the death of DJ Mehdi

More details have been released on the sudden death of DJ Mehdi, revealing that he died in a terrible accident. The French DJ, who has been universally remembered for his happy and friendly demeanour as well as his formidable talent, was talking to friends when the plexiglass mezzanine roof he was standing on collapsed.

DJ Mehdi, real name Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, was 34. The accident occurred at the birthday party of friend and collaborator Riton, who had just recently recorded new material with Mehdi under their band name Carte Blanche.

Riton tweeted last night, “just want everyone to know that we were all laughing our asses off 1/2 second before the accident.”
