Micachu & the Shapes' Raisa Khan plugs in with new solo material

The Shapes' keyboardist is dropping some letters, as well as an EP, under the name Raisa K soon.

If you thought that Micachu & the Shapes was all Mica Levi, then keyboardist and fellow aural eclecticist Raisa K’s (the K is for Khan) own project might change your mind. Sharing Mica’s penchant for sonic oddities and a disregard for conventional time signatures, Khan had her solo debut at the launch of Dalston, east London electronic night TRAUM last month. Now she’s planning a May EP release and this track, Hallow, is a clattering, hyperventilating opener to what sounds like a promising future release. You can listen to it here.
