MCs swap the mic for the decks with MCs In The Mix

The new platform for MCs to play selectors will broadcast DJ sets from the likes of Chunky and Serocee later today.

Chunky is best known as an MC for the likes of Hoya:Hoya, Hessle Audio, Boiler Room and about a million others, but he gets a little less recognition as a DJ and producer (he released an EP for Swamp:81 last year). MCs In The Mix is a bright idea from Chunky and Problem Child which sees, as its name implies, MCs taking over the decks to play music from their selections, often casting a light on the music that inspired them to get on the mic. This year they've live-streamed sets from the likes of Sgt Pokes, D Double E and Flowdan over the likes of Boiler Room and Just Jam.

The next MCs In The Mix stream will be from 3-7pm GMT today (August 9th) and will see Top Cat, Rodney P, Fallacy, Serocee and Chunky all play sets, which will be streamed via their website live from Eastern Bloc Records in Manchester. For good measure, stream Chunky's 50-minute set from March 6th's Boiler Room below.

Fingers crossed we never see "DJs On The Mic" come to light, mind.
