Listen: Låpsley - Love Is Blind

Låpsley has shared a new single titled Love Is Blind.

Holly Fletcher's new song premiered was as Annie Mac's 'Hottest Record' on BBC Radio 1 last night and arrives this morning alongside details of Låpsley's debut album.

The London-via-Southport singer-songwriter will release 'Long Way Home' on March 4th through XL Recordings, and features the singles Hurt Me, Falling Short, Painter, and Station amongst its twelve tracks. Låpsley worked with Rodaidh McDonald and recorded two tracks with Paul O'Duffy for the album. It also features a collaboration with BBC Sound of 2016 finalist Mura Masa on album closer Seven Months.

Speaking about her debut in a press release, Låpsley summed up 'Long Way Home' as follows:

“It’s an autobiography of my emotions and events over the past year. Everything that’s happened, I’ve channelled in some way into a song – whether that’s the theme of a long distance relationship, or something that he’s said, or the way that I’ve felt, or an argument. I only revisit the memories of that relationship when I go into the studio. I think it’s helped me, to be able to collect everything for those moments when I’m writing. I think that’s what’s driven this album.”
