Lil Nas X has shared his new single ‘Holiday’, announcing he’ll perform it for the first time in a virtual concert on the online gaming platform Roblox.

The new track marks the first release from Nas’ forthcoming debut album, returning to form with his usual hooky style and catchy melodies. Set on Christmas Eve of the year 2220, the video follows Nas through his futuristic North Pole workshop where he takes on the role of four different characters.

Partnering up with the online gaming site, the rapper is set to deliver the debut performance of ‘Holiday’, along with more of his biggest hits, in a first-ever virtual concert on the platform.

The concert experience will feature a set of stages, all inspired by Lil Nas X’s songs and music videos, that are using the latest shadowing, lighting, and facial recognition technologies available on the Roblox platform and will be shown three times for different time zones, beginning Saturday, November 14 at 1pm PT.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Columbia Records to bring Lil Nas X fans and the Roblox community together in an entirely new way,” said Jon Vlassopulos, Global Head of Music at Roblox. “This concert with Lil Nas X will transport players and their friends into the Metaverse, and bring to life the future of what immersive, social experiences can look like.”
