Laura Groves – Dream Story

Uptempo soft pop with a tinge of melancholy from the singer-songwriter, due on Bullion's DEEK Recordings next month.

Laura Groves is releasing 'Committed Language', her second solo EP, next month.

Though Groves' last EP, 'Thinking About Thinking', was released in 2013, she's hardly been quiet over the past year, releasing a new EP with her band Nautic, recording a brill cover of Paul McCartney's Waterfall, and even debuting a new demo here and there.

New song Dream Story is about the ways that reality can follow you into your sleep, manifesting itself in strange and abstract ways. It has a more uptempo pace than anything on her last EP, taking a more overt soft pop stance, but there's still that tinge of melancholy that underscores all of her music. It's also very wonderful.

Once again, the EP is due out via DEEK Recordings, and comes co-produced with label head Bullion.

Laura Groves plays The Lexington in London tonight (January 14th) with her band, tickets for which are available here.
