Last Japan launches new label: listen to icy new cut ‘East Blocks’

Coveted East London beatmaker Last Japan has just dropped the first track on his brand new imprint.

His new venture is titled Ascend, named after the heatedly-received 2016 collaboration with AJ Tracey, and is intended to be a space for personal projects and ideas that sit alongside his other label, Circadian Rhythms.

‘East Blocks’ is the kind of glacial production with striking melodies we’ve come to expect from the producer. A collaboration between himself and Finnish producer Inner, it’s taken off the three-tracked forthcoming EP ‘Cold Ascent’, set to drop on September 28th.
