Kwabs – Perfect Ruin (Royce Wood Junior Version)

Songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist about town Royce Wood Junior shares his alternate version of the lead single from Kwabs's debut album.

Royce Wood Junior has debuted a version of Perfect Ruin, the new single by Kwabs.

Those of you who read Dummy religiously will know Royce's story: he's a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who you can generally find playing on other people's records. Some of the names he's worked with include Denai Moore, Rosie Lowe, and Jamie Woon, and now he's gearing up to release a solo album called 'The Ashen Tang'.

One other person that Royce has worked with is, in fact, Kwabs. Royce contributed to 'Love + War', the forthcoming album from the husky-voiced so-and-so, so getting him on board to debut a new mix of lead single Perfect Ruin just seems like common sense (hell, he's remixed him once already). Royce's version is not a radical deconstruction of the song, but an alternate version, keeping the narrative and momentum of the song intact but switching up its sounds.

Kwabs live dates:
