Kirk Spencer - Wonderland [EP stream]

Kirk Spencer makes dreamy, kaleidoscopic electronica with traces of Eastern strings, sumptuous bass and pop music tropes all filtered through it. Based in Nottingham, he’s a member of the music and arts collective STRANGERZOO, who will release his debut EP ‘Wonderland’ on the 25th March – until then, though, you can stream it via the player below (thanks, Noisey!). From the raspy-voiced longing of A Kid to the bleached tropicana of In Treatment to the hits-you-in-the-gut bassline of Dreams, it’s a tightly constructed and highly fun listen (featuring some intriguing new vocalists) that leaves no corner of the 22-year-old producer’s influences unexplored.
