Kieran Hebden & Steve Reid - Strings of Life

Four Tet is releasing a live recording of his and the late Steve Reid's cover of Derrick May's classic Strings of Life.

American jazz drummer Steve Reid was a frequent collaborator with Kieran Hebden, with the two musicians releasing a series of albums together from 2006 until Reid's death in 2010. Their cover of Strings of Life was recorded at Green Man Festival in August 2006 but has never seen a release before.

Last night Hebden revealed on Twitter that he'd be putting it out shortly on his label, Text, with proceeds going to the Steve Reid Foundation. He also uploaded it to Soundcloud for all to stream.
