Kendrick Lamar nominated for eight Grammy Awards

This morning (December 7th) the nominees for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards have been announced, taking place on February 15th, 2016. 

Amongst the usual suspects for the major awards is Kendrick Lamar, who has been nominated for eight categories including 'Album of the Year' ('To Pimp A Butterfly) and 'Song of the Year' (Alright).

K.Dot will battle it out with Taylor Swift (who are both jointly nominated for their collaboration on Bad Blood), Alabama Shakes, Chris Stapleton, and the Weekend for the former gong. Alright will go up against Taylor Swift (Blank Space), Ed Sheeran (Thinking Out Loud), Little Big Town (Girl Crush), and Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth (See You Again) for 'Song of the Year'.

Tame Impala and Björk are nominated for 'Best Alternative Music Album' while D'Angelo and Mark Ronson are up for 'Record of the Year'.
