Kanye throws midnight Sunday Service honouring Kobe Bryant

“I was driving home / They was leaving your jersey on the freeway, and I just broke down, broke down, broke down"

Kanye West organised a midnight Sunday Service to honour late basketball player and friend Kobe Bryant, just hours after his death.

West paid tribute to the NBA legend, who died on Sunday morning (26/01/20) in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. The 41-year-old was with his 13-year-old daughter and seven other passengers, who all died.

“I was driving home / They was leaving your jersey on the freeway, and I just broke down, broke down, broke down,” West sung during the post-Grammy’s tribute.

Chance The Rapper performed his verse on ‘Ultralight Beam’, while gospel legend Kirk Franklin was also present at the ceremony.
