Here's some really dumb stuff people have said in the last few hours.

If you're wondering what music superstars have been up to recently, the answer is they've been supporting riots, comparing themselves to Hitler and employing indescribably misjudged publicists.

M.I.A caused fury last night when she tweeted “I’m going down to the riot to hand out tea and mars bars”. The offending tweet has since been deleted, but many are still angry about the star’s apparent support of the violence occurring in London. Many have called for M.I.A. to be somehow reprimanded by her record label, XL, who may well have lost stock in the Enfield warehouse fire previously reported.

The controversy comes quick on the heels of the incredible speech given by Kanye West at the Big Chill festival on Sunday night, in which he caused shock by comparing himself to Adolf Hitler. “I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m … insane, like I’m Hitler,” West told his stunned audience of 40,000. “One day the light will shine through, and one day people will understand everything I ever did.”

The idiocy went further today, with reports that the Sugababes issued a press release to promote an upcoming gig entitled “Tonight the Sugababes will cause a riot of their own!” Reports of this dreadfully misjudged PR have since been hushed up, although it was confirmed by Vice Magazine to be true.
