Kanye West says that instead of buying his masters he'll buy Universal Music

"They're only a $33 billion organisation, I'm one of the greatest product producers that ever existed"

Kanye West has appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast for a three-hour exchange, where he stated that rather than buying his masters, he will buy global music corporation Universal Music.

“I was thinking about buying my masters,” he tells Rogan during the interview, “and I realised that was too small of a thought. I’m gonna buy Universal.

“They’re only a $33 billion organisation, I’m one of the greatest product producers that ever existed. And I’m a child, I’m 43 years-old. I was $53 million in debt four years ago, and now it’s proven I’m the new Michael Jordan of products.”

Of his decision to run for president, West said: “When I first thought of it, I just started laughing to myself.”

“I believe that my calling is to be the leader of the free world,” he added.

In September, Kanye tweeted out screenshots of his recording and publishing deals, later posting a video of someone that is presumed to be himself urinating on a Grammy award.

A string of incidents, including a presidential campaign rally where West appeared to break down in tears, caused Kim Kardashian to tweet about his struggles with bipolar disorder.
