Jonny Greenwood to score 'There Will Be Blood' follow-up which definitely is not about Scientology

Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood will work again with filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson on score to 1950s-set religious drama.

Jonny Greenwood has already composed wonderful soundtracks for Norwegian Wood, We need To Talk About Kevin and _Bodysong, and the Radiohead guitarist is set to follow-up his work with director Paul Thomas Anderson on the Oscar-winning There Will Be Blood with The Master.

Set in 1950s America, it follows the story of a drifter, played by Joaquin Phoenix, who falls in to a new religious order set up by an ex-service man, Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Many have pointed out the similarities between the religion depicted and Scientology, a religious order set up in the 1950s by L Ron Hubbard, an ex-service man who looks a lot like Phillip Seymour Hoffman. The film’s backers have, of course, strenuously denied any link between the film and Scientology, and the film will be released in 2013.
