James Murphy - We Used To Dance

Former LCD man shares an instrumental track from his soundtrack to Noah Baumbach's While We're Young.

Noah Baumbach makes comedy dramas about upper middle class New Yorkers, so who better to get to do the soundtrack to his newest film, While We're Young, than upper middle class New Yorker James Murphy?

Baumbach and Murphy have a good working relationship already, with Murphy putting together the soundtrack for Baumbach's Greenberg in 2010. His contributions to the soundtrack include an instrumental cover of David Bowie's Golden Years, a track called Only the Stars Above Welcome Me Home, and this new, introspective and slowly unfolding instrumental called We Used To Dance.

The soundtrack – which also features other music selected by Murphy, including Paul McCartney & Wings's always-amazing Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five – comes out on March 24th, with the film itself set to hit US screens on March 27th.
