Jaakko Eino Kalevi - No End

A lonesome saxophone and 80s keyboard duet in delightfully disgraceful fashion on Finnish artist's debut.

Jaakko Eino Kalevi is the Finnish artist most likely to endure endless comparisons to Ariel Pink this year. It's that scruffy psychedelia thing, not to mention they have the same length hair. Jaakko's got more funk, though, and isn't afraid of 80s keyboard action. He's just signed to Domino offshoot Weird World and No End, the first track from his upcoming EP 'Dreamzone', starts out with some perfectly lovely harmonising with Helsinki singer Suad Khalifa but the real duet of the piece is between that lonesome saxophone and decaying keyboard. The two tumble and turn, deconstructing in a manner that's delightfully disgraceful.

Weird World will release Jaakko Eino Kalevi's 'Dreamzone' EP on 2nd December 2013.
