Introducing the 15-year-old producer Mary Anne Hobbs is calling "mind-blowing"

Leeds producer Happa makes vast, unforgiving, bass-heavy house that shudders with such a self-assurance that it’s hard to believe he’s only 15. Or maybe that’s just how youth fronts now, has always fronted – and yet how many 15-year-olds do you know who’ve done a guest mix on Mary Anne Hobbs’s radio show? Cos that’s what Happa will be doing tomorrow night, as MAH announced on her Twitter earlier. She also called him “mind-blowing” and apparently booked him on the strength of just a handful of dubplates she’d heard. Loefah is another fan, having recently played Happa’s track Boss on his Swamp 81 show on Rinse with the shout: “We are deep in the swamp, murky waters.” Check a radio rip of that below, plus a couple of meaty clips from forthcoming tracks.
