Hot Chip announce new album 'Why Make Sense?'

The follow-up to 2012's 'In Our Heads' lands on May 18th. Stream a new single, Huarache Lights, now.

Hot Chip are releasing a new album, 'Why Make Sense?', on May 18th.

Following up 2012's 'In Our Heads', this is the band's sixth album and their second since signing to Domino. In the interim, the band have been busy with side projects – Al Doyle and Felix Martin with their band New Build, Joe Goddard with a new The 2 Bears album and a solo dance EP, and Alexis Taylor with his solo album 'Await Barbarians'.

Recorded in Oxfordshire and London, and produced by the band alongside old pal Mark Ralph, 'Why Make Sense?' is being led by new single Huarache Lights, which has the punchy sound and weighty groove that the band have become hella competent at producing by this point in their careers.

A special edition of the album features a separate EP – called, er, the 'Separate' EP – featuring an extra four tracks from the album sessions.
