Hannah Sawtell - #malwaredripper (heygate mix)

Stream a visceral track from contemporary artist Hannah Sawtell before she plays London experimental clubnight Tropical Waste.

London experimental clubnight Tropical Waste's last outing brought Lotic in for his debut UK performance along with Gum Artefacts and PC Music affiliate felicita.

Their next show takes place tonight (February 12th) and features a live set from Bristol's Giant Swan, a DJ set from new No Pain In Pop signing Jire alongside residents IYDES and Seb, and one Hannah Sawtell.

Sawtell is a contemporary artist and performer who uses new media – smartphones, tablets, open source software – to create rhythms out of digital noise. Having exhibited in gallery locations like the ICA and New York's New Museum in the past, this is a chance to catch her audio-visual show in a club environment.

If it all sounds quite thinky-thinky, then new track, #malwaredripper (heygate mix) should change your preconceptions – it's primal and visceral, which might have links to Sawtell's previously life running Detroit's Planet E label.

Tropical Waste with Giant Swan, Hannah Sawtell and more takes place at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington, London on February 12th 2015 (buy tickets).
