The 'ultimate emo HD power ballad' is her first single in two years...

PC Music’s Hannah Diamond has returned after a two-year hiatus with a brand new single and album announcement.

The ten-track ‘Reflections’ will be released in the new year, and she’s offered the first taste of the record with ‘True’, which arrives with a lyric video featuring a custom typeface she’s been working on, and a mini website.

Of the new track, she says: “‘True’ is like the ultimate emo HD power ballad…it’s really about the fantasy of my last single ‘Make Believe’ crumbling before my eyes and the realisation that this thing that I thought was true love really wasn’t what I was projecting it to be in my mind. It’s about being disappointed in someone else’s actions, but also disappointed in yourself for not seeing things for what they truly were. It’s about being able to look at the ‘Make Believe’ era from a distance – I’m in a different place and I’m looking back at it like I’m a different person to who I was back then.”

PC Music also launched a new playlist today, titled ‘Perfect Music Friday’, its tagline is (in classic tongue-in-cheek PC Music style), ‘Celebrating Playlist Culture since 2018’. You can check it out here.
