Halls - Waves

Atmospheric but highly refined new song from South London singer and songwriter Halls.

Following last year's teaser Forelsket, South London musician Sam Howard, aka Halls, has shared another new song from his forthcoming album, 'Love To Give'. Waves is heavy on atmosphere, the whole song exuding a sort of black-and-white, fleapit ambience, but thankfully it's not at the expense of solid songwriting. The broken vocal and organ bed breakdown might make it seem like Howard has been through the wringer, but by the time it reaches its huge climax, there's a sense that Waves is actually quite uplifting.
