Haich Ber Na, Deema, Rada and Theodor Black kick off Dummy's BRAND NEW Laylow residency

RSVP now for free entry...

Dummy is taking over member’s club and venue Laylow on Thursday October 10th in the first of a new residency, showcasing some of the most exciting artists on our radar.

BRAND NEW is the name of our weekly-refreshed Spotify playlist charting the freshest new talent around (follow it here), and for the first in its event series, we’ve booked four of our favourite acts who’ve found their way onto this list.

Haich Ber Na is an artist with many strings to his bow. A self-taught musician, producer, mixer and director with origins in hip-hop and grime, his recent output like latest single ‘Forgetful‘ mines more avant-garde territory, while his mind-bending visuals take inspiration from Stanley Kubrick and The Sims.

He’ll be joined by South London rapper Deema, former member of The Square and namechecked by DJ Argue as an MC set to blow, who has been firing out slates of compelling projects. Check out ‘Comfort Zone‘ and ‘Through It All‘ for examples of the young lyricist’s unmatched flow.

With just a handful of singles to her name, RADA is another artist we’ve been adding to our playlists non-stop. Tracks like ‘Be Mine’ (with KISH!) and ‘Above It’ demonstrate a powerful songwriting craft, and she’ll be bringing some friends with her for the occasion.

Finally, Theodor Black is a rapper with more than a glint of Archy Marshall to him, and another act who we’ve been incredibly excited about. Backed by a driving beat, his flow-of-consciousness vocal style explores topics like the complications of youth in a way that’s wholly relatable.

The event is free but RSVP is essential: email rsvp@dummymag.com.
