H Hawkline – Ringfinger

Clean 'n' sharp power pop songwriting from the Welsh musician, taken from his new album for Heavenly Recordings.

H Hawkline is Huw Gwyfnfryn Evans, a member of the Heavenly Recordings family (TOY, Temples, The Wytches, etc.).

He's released music with the label before – last year's 'Salt Gall Box Ghouls' was a compilation of earlier EPs and tracks – and if you go on the Heavenly Wikipedia entry, you'll notice that his name is listed as part of the label's current roster.

If you click on his name, however, you'll find yourself at Stephen Hawking's page.

Now, H Hawkline is not a genius like Stephen Hawking. He does, however, demonstrate that he is clearly rather skilled when it comes to the art of songwriting. Ringfinger is taken from 'In The Pink Condition', his third album and his first 'proper' album for Heavenly, and is a very clean and very sharp power pop ditty that demonstrates some serious melodic chops.
