Premiere: GRMLN - Patio

Japanese-born, Californian-raised artist Yoodoo Park came up with the name GRMLN when he was encased in his garage, idling his teenage summers away recording dream-pop.

Despite the cloistered way in which the music was produced, Park’s songs were inspired by his moments of breezy, open connection with the world when surfing, and that’s the vibe that calls through in his easy guitar strings and misty, mirrored voice. The expanse of an ocean calls wistfully through this too-short snippet of Park’s talent, making a deeply, gently evocative pop song with a huge amount of promise.

GRMLN’s debut EP ‘Explore’ will be released via Carpark Records on the 5th November – until then, hear Patio exclusively on Dummy.
