Gilles Peterson’s inaugural We Out Here festival has just announced its line-up for August, booking stand-out figures from the jazz and electronic worlds.

The new event boasts Tirzah (whose ‘Devotion’ album figured as our fifth best of 2018), avant-garde composer Matthew Herbert and legendary saxophonist Gary Bartz, along with Kojey Radical, Children of Zeus, Moses Boyd and many more.

While the electronic portion is equally as hard-hitting, with Skee Mask, Call Super, Objekt and Josey Rebelle all scheduled to spin, plus Theo Parrish, Mike Dunn and Channel One Soundsystem.

The festival’s location has also been revealed as Abbots Ripton in Cambridgeshire, the former home of Secret Garden Party.

Announced earlier this year, the brand new festival has been co-curated by Gilles, his label Brownswood and Worldwide FM radio station.

We Out Here takes place on Thursday 15th – Sunday 18th August 2019 – head here for tickets.
