George T - I'll Do Anything

The latest release from great dance label Greco-Roman commits George T's lost house tracks from the '90s to vinyl for the first time.

The next release on great dance label Greco-Roman comes from George T.

George T is no newcomer. The story goes that George "T" Demure was born in Edinburgh in 1978, got into club music as it was emerging, and by 1991 had started up a weekly night called Tribal Funktion. Tribal Funktion saw heavyweights of the house scene come and play – Danny Tenaglia, DJ Sneak, Cajmere, and Romanthony are just some of the legendary names to have passed through.

By 2001, Demure was working on records for Trevor Jackson's Output Recordings – a brilliant label that no one seems to talk about anymore – as well as Tirk and Crosstown Rebels. By 2014 he was working in the same studio space as none other than Joe Goddard. They swapped stories, George gave Joe some old DAT tapes, Joe reintroduced George to DJing via his XOYO residency with The 2 Bears, and now Joe is helping to release some of George's old house tracks for the first time via Greco-Roman, the label he co-runs. I'll Do Anything is one of those tracks, heard here for the first time since it was recorded back in the '90s.

You can catch George T DJing at the Electrowerkz on the July 9th at Greco-Roman’s next party, playing alongside Roosevelt, Lxury, Tirzah & Micachu, and Joe Goddard.
