Gardland - Syndrome Syndrome

The Australian duo share some wiggy techno from their forthcoming RVNG debut.

Gardland have shared the title track from their forthcoming album for RVNG Intl.

The Australian duo announced their debut album, 'Syndrome Syndrome', for the label earlier this year, its press release promising that it would explore their idea of what dance music can be rather than adhering to any ideas of functionality or genre formality – something that may as well be the RVNG motto.

The first real taste of it is now available to stream above. Syndrome Syndrome is a techno track that, naturally, is a bit weird – hyper-rhythmic and a little droney, with a wailing, distorted lead that sounds almost like a guitar freak-out. If you take Gardland's wiggy techno alongside some of the label's recent efforts – the Stellar OM Source and Blondes albums from earlier this year, and, in places, Holly Herndon's album last year – Syndrome Syndrome seems to suggest that RVNG are in a good place for dance music right now.

RVNG Intl. will release 'Syndrome Syndrome' on October 28th.
