Friendly Fires announce new album

The Trio have unveiled details of their second album entitled 'Pala'.

Friendly Fires’ second album is due to be released this May. The title ‘Pala’ is taken from Aldous Huxley’s 1962 novel ‘Island’. With producer Paul Epworth, recording sessions took place in London, St. Albans, Sussex, New York, and Yvetot in France. The band had collaborated with The Harlem Gospel Choir on the track Hurting and Holy Ghost’s Alex Franke, who plays Clavinet on True Love. The cover art is by fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø.

‘Pala’ will drop on 16th May via XL Recordings. The single Live Those Days Tonight will be premiered tonight on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, and will subsequently be available to stream at wearefriendlyfires.com.
