Free The Robots - 'In Other Worlds' [EP stream]

Santa Ana beatmaker Chris Alfaro AKA Free The Robots is following up three albums and a stack of EPs with his newest release, the ‘In Other Worlds’ EP. If you can judge a man by the company he keeps, then a cursory glance at some of the artists that Free The Robots has worked with – he’s remixed Daedelus and The Gaslamp Killer in the past, and released a collaborative EP with the latter way back in 2008 – should put you up to scratch. Loose hip hop beats with skewiff electronics and odd samples (check that bassline and those guitar licks in the EP’s title track) are the order of the day.

Free The Robots is working on a new full length album, due for release later this year.
