Forest Swords - Thor's Stone (Lee "Scratch" Perry remix)

Tri Angle artist gets an inspired remix by the dub veteran.

Today's most inspired remix combination comes from Tri Angle, who have enlisted dub veteran Lee "Scratch" Perry to remix Forest SwordsThor's Stone. Given the amount of bass weight and negative space on 'Engravings', Forest Swords' debut album, it's a logical if unexpected combination, and the results are legitimately solid. Forest Swords had this to say about the track in a press release: "It's an honour that Lee loved the track and reworked it at his studio in Jamaica. He's been a huge influence, and has been behind some of the most legendary records ever cut, so for him to want to add his own flair and energy to Thor's Stone is pretty unbelievable for me, and a genuine life highlight."

The announcement of the remix comes with the announcement of a stack of international headline tour dates from January to April, all of which are available to peruse over here.

We loved 'Engravings' – you can read Dummy's review of it here, and read a rather wonderful interview that Forest Swords gave to Ruth Saxelby earlier this year here.

Tri Angle released 'Engravings' on August 26th 2013.
