Flying Lotus closes out his BBC Radio 1 residency

The LA producer gets J Rocc to guest on his final broadcast for the series.

It's come to the end of Flying Lotus' radio residency on BBC Radio 1 and he uses this final broadcast as a chance to look back towards the musical past with fellow LA producer J Rocc providing a guest mix. Among the artists played are A Tribe Called Quest, Kool And The Gang and Curtis Mayfield before finishing the journey with a cut from his 2014 record 'You're Dead!'.

Starting in January of this year, his residency has been broadcast on BBC Radio 1 at 10pm every second Thursday of the month. Playing a mixture of beats, hip hop, funk and jazz, he's had quite a few of his friends come on to the show to provide guest mixes including his Brainfeeder label associates The Gaslamp Killer and Lapalux as well as Jonny Greenwood and Kendrick Lamar.
