Florence returns

Florence Welch, who is really quite famous because she made a really great album in 2009 called ‘Lungs’, has returned from the studio with an as-yet-untitled album, and a new single, What The Water Gave Me, which you can hear below.

Produced by Paul Epworth, as is the whole album, the song is great, and named after a Frida Kahlo painting. She hinted to in an interview with Pitchfork that collaborations with Jamie xx may see the light of day: “It turned out that I haven’t really worked with anyone else on it. In the future, I’d really like to do something with Jamie from the xx. We’ve done a couple bits here and there together, so maybe that will turn into something.”

Island will release Florence + The Machine’s new album on the 7th November.
