FCL - It's You (Rushmore's Feel The Heat remix)

In anticipation of House Of Trax’s upcoming event in east London, where New Jersey Ballroom producer MikeQ is invited once again as headliner of the bill, resident Rushmore has offered up a remix of Belgian house duo FCL’s track It’s You, which in fact sampled ESP’s 1986 underground garage classic of the same title.

Provided here is a re-imagining in the manner of some snappy, accelerated ballroom house-edged beats that first tease with moments of skips and silence, before blossoming into a bluster of hard-hitting, percussion-heavy array of sound. The outcome is a deconstructed piece of production that sounds both pleasurably obscure and completely addictive, available for stream below.

The Trax Couture label boss has also supplied a video of their previous party – House Of Trax #12 DJ Assault, showcasing an intense two-minute outtake from the ghetto booty and electro-focussed night. Watch it below.
