Fabric have announced a new label

The London hyper-club have launched a new label, Houndstooth.

London clubbing stalwart fabric have launched a new record label, Houndstooth. With Rob Booth (the head honcho behind the excellent Electronic Explorations series of podcasts) on board, the label’s first release will come from Berlin’s Call Super, and will be a separate entity to the usual fabric label that releases the fabric and FABRICLIVE mix CDs.

Speaking to FACT, Booth said that “Houndstooth will be a home for artist led projects – albums, EPs, singles. Whilst Houndstooth will also release electronic music and reflect the musical ethos of fabric, it’s got a lot more of a license to operate beyond the realms of the dancefloor.” The label will ensure that it releases high quality physical products, and future releases confirmed so far will come from Δkkord, House of Black Lanterns Al Tourettes and Unsubscribe.

You can watch a teaser video for the label below.
