Evian Christ signs to Warp; announces 'Trance War Memorial' installation at the ICA

Former Tri Angle producer celebrates joining Warp's roster with an installation at London's ICA - a memorial to the 30,000 Dogs who died in the Trance War.

Evian Christ is the latest artist to join Warp's roster.

Evian Christ has been firmly aligned with Tri Angle Records since he first floated some tracks on the internet, releasing one mixtape and an EP through the label, but his Warp signing suggests bigger things that require a stronger label infrastructure are set to come.

The first thing Evian Christ will do with the label is an installation alongside visual artist David Rudnick at London's Institute of Contemporary Art from July 23rd to 26th – a memorial for the 30,000 Dogs who died in the Trance War (an ongoing conflict that began in Europe from 1998). The installation includes a "memorial fanfare" composed for the occasion.

Revisit Dummy's interview with Evian Christ from last year, and learn a bit more about the Trance War in our short feature with David Rudnick.
