Errors – Slow Rotor (Steve Moore remix)

The Scottish electronic trio's latest song gets reworked into a Balearic ballad by prolific vintage synthesizer wielder Steve Moore.

Errors are an underrated Scottish trio who are impossible to dislike. Their new album 'Lease of Life' feels like their 15th or so since debuting with the 'How Clean Is Your Acid House?' mini-album in 2006. Although basically structured as an alternative rock group, they've always been big on synthesizers, and their new album seems to be taking this further, with first stream Lease of Life being heavy on old Roland rhythm boxes and those '90s-y MIDI choir sounds.

Steve Moore is another underrated musician, and another guy who possesses of an army of synthesizers, Moore has made solo releases for labels who rarely put a foot wrong, like L.I.E.S., Ghost Box, Spectrum Spools, and Temporary Residence. He's also a prolific collaborator and alias adopter, whether that's writing soundtracks for imaginary Italian horror films as Gianni Rossi, making incredible pop cheese as Lovelock, or whipping together John Carpenter-inspired post-rock as one half of Zombi.

Here, Moore reworks Errors' Slow Rotor. It's very pretty, gliding along like a Balearic ballad.
