Edwin Congreave - Heal (Redux Version)

Stream a special version of Heal, the debut track offered by Foals member and Deep Shit label/ party co-runner Edwin Congreave.

Foals member Edwin Congreave’s debut single dropped on 22nd October via his own Deep Shit label, which he co-runs with Jack Savidge of Friendly Fires and NTS Radio’s Adam Parylak. The ‘Heal’ EP is a texturally splendid release that delivers a powerful piece of deep house, combining thick and splintering piano with distorted vocal snippets, all sprinkled over the impalpable bassline buried at the bottom. It is Congreave’s first solo effort produced under his own name, showcasing his chord-driven house production skills, which might be something he incorporated from playing the keyboards in Foals. ‘Heal’ is purist house music, created with a sense of glossiness and injected with steady-tempoed grooves.

‘Heal’ EP was released yesterday in limited edition on hand stamped 12” vinyl, featuring the previously heard Original version, a reinterpretation by A1 Bassline, as well as a special Redux version, streamable below.
