Dutch Uncles - Be Right Back

Stream a new song from the Marple experimental pop band before they premiere new album 'O Shudder' at a non-league football match between West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC and Bootle FC.

If you want to hear Dutch Uncles' new album before its official release date, you'll be able to attend a very special listening party at… a non-league football match.

No strangers to bizarre DIY album promo campaigns with a local focus, the Marple experimental pop band have decided that the world premiere of 'O Shudder' should take place at the quarter final cup tie of West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC vs. Bootle FC this Saturday (February 14th).

“Between the five of us, we support three different football teams: Stockport County, Manchester United, and City," explains the band's Andy Proudfoot, "This season we’ve adopted our local amateur team so we can call cheer on the same side every Saturday without breaking out into any arguments. It’s started to become a regular pilgrimage for all of us and we thought it would be fun to mark the release of our new album by sponsoring their biggest match ever… a quarter final cup tie against against Bootle."

The match kicks off at 3pm and fans can play the band in a penalty shoot-out at half-time. After the final whistle, 'O Shudder' will be played over the club's tannoy system and in the clubhouse. There will also be a raffle to win the match ball, signed by the band, and they'll be choosing Man of the Match. More details, such as where to actually find the pitch, are available here.

Before the big game they've shared a stream of new song Be Right Back and confirmed a UK in-store tour alongside their previously announced live dates.
