Dre Skull feat. Megan James & Popcaan - First Time (Sinjin Hawke remix)

Sinjin Hawke's maximalist, bass-heavy hip hop style becomes more and more idiosyncratic with each new remix and track he puts his name to, so we always have eager ears for anything new of his.

His latest effort is a remix of Dre Skull's First Time, a vocal update of Skull's own Loudspeaker Riddim with vocals from dancehall singer Popcaan and Purity Ring's Megan James. Hawke's remix kicks things up quite a few notches, laying on some genuinely original vocal effects and doing full-on dancehall-via-disco-via-Just Blaze on the instrumental.
