Domino launches radio station

For one week only, indie giant Domino will launch a radio station, featuring Animal Collective, the School of Life, Frieze Arts, Robert Wyatt, Wild Beasts, Four Tet and Transparent Records, plus many more.

Domino Records, one of the world’s best indies, home to some really great bands (many of whom are below), is to open a radio station for one week only, starting on the 6th June. Precise details on schedule are being kept under wraps, but the label seem keen to stress that it’ll be about more than just famous people playing tracks, inspired by “Radio Caroline, The Peel Show, Rinse FM, The World Service and Woman’s Hour” with an equal emphasis on “tastemakers, instigators, thinkers and activists” as “Specially commissioned shows from Domino’s international roster of artists, friends of the label and admirable public figures”.

Confirmed guests and hosts so far are Animal Collective, Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip/About Group, Four Tet, Franz Ferdinand, Dirty Projectors, Robert Wyatt, Steve Mason, Smith Westerns, Wild Beasts, Owen Pallett, Anna Calvi, Austra, Dennis Bovell, Bobby Gillespie, Faris Badwan, Frieze Arts, The School of Life, Transparent Records, Angular Records, No Pain In Pop, Caught by the River and Honest Jons.

Tune in!
