Following on from a couple of singles on various independent labels like UK’s No Pain In Pop and Germany’s Souterrain Transmissions and a clutch of remixes for Peaking Lights, Grimes and Portishead, 22-year-old Toronto producer Airick Woodhead, AKA Doldrums, is set to release his debut album, titled ‘Lesser Evil’, on 25th February.

Ahead of the release of Doldrums’ debut longplayer, Brooklyn experimental duo Black Dice’s have remixed She Is The Wave, taken from ‘Lesser Evil’, which you can stream below. It’s a chopped-up psychedelic pop song that captures sweet tensions and energies, pieced together wonderfully by Woodhead’s twisted vocal delivery and analogue electronic glitches, and we endorse it fully.
