Diplo debuts on BBC Radio 1 with Canadian producer Lunice

The Mad Decent's DJ and producer broadcasted his brand new weekly radio show on Radio 1 and 1Xtra on Saturday night.

The American DJ and producer Wesley Pentz aka Diplo has appeared for the first time on the Nation’s Favourite, giving a two-hour heavy hip-hop fine set.

As previously reported, Diplo has been given a new weekly BBC Radio show, entitled ‘Diplo and Friends’ which will be broadcasted every Saturday night on Radio 1 & 1Xtra from 1 to 3 am. The show sees the iconic producer and DJ bringing exclusive mixes from a selection of DJ pals and exciting new artists.

The first chapter of the weekly show featured as guests of honor the Canadian hip-hop producer Lunice and Paul Devro. The mix was packed with tunes from A$AP Rocky, Wacka Floka Flame, TNGHT, Drake and Lunice himself. Among the others, they also played Cadenza’s The Darkest Hype which we released last year. Cheers, Diplo!

In case you missed Diplo’s excellent debut, you can still stream it on the BBC website.
