Merok to release Deptford Goth's debut EP

The south London musician will release a 12" EP in limited edition this summer via Merok.

Not much is known about this Peckham-based bedroom R&B producer. All we know is his reinterpretation of Mariah Carey’s Fantasy was really good, and caused quite the industry buzz. Deptford Goth dropped Real Love Fantasy at the end of last year; having been drawn comparison to the likes of Twin Shadow and Perfume Genius , this south London’s warm, swooning vocal and intimately-carved synthetic soundscape should not be missed. His first EP, entitled ‘Youth II’, will drop in the format of vinyl 12” in limited edition via Merok this summer, but will be exclusively available at Independent Label Market this Saturday (21st May, 2011).
